Journey to the Source, Gaumukh, Uttarakhand
Himalayas promise an experience, unveiling breath-taking mountain vistas that rival any Himalayan excursion. India boasts over half the length of the main Himalayan range within its borders. India harbours hidden gems in some of the most remote and pristine corners of the Himalayas. At the lofty heights of Gaumukh, the Source of the Ganges awaits, enveloped by the awe- inspiring presence of Garhwal’s iconic peaks: Meru, Bhagirathi, and Shivling. This trek offers a diverse tapestry of landscapes: from dense forests of rhododendron and walnut to glistening glaciers and rugged moraines. Along the way, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of majestic peaks and encounters with the cultural heritage of Garhwal, including the revered Gangotri and the soul-stirring essence of the region.
